Two Big Hollywood Stars Repped Planned Parenthood At Last Night’s Oscars

There was a lot of tittering about whether or not last night’s Oscars would feature political and social messages, which they did. Still, Meryl Streep was noticeably reserved last night, which stands in contrast to her behavior at the Golden Globes.

Wow, remember the Globes? Remember actress Lola Kirke wearing a “fuck Paul Ryan” button? That was some political statement. She did that to protest his assurances that Planned Parenthood would be defunded, and two other leading ladies followed her lead at last night’s Oscars by standing up for the health organization in their own subtle, less swear-y ways.

Best Actress winner Emma Stone sported the clinic’s “PP” logo in pin form on the top of her Givenchy dress. Likewise, 50 Shades sensation Dakota Johnson attached the logo to her clutch.

Looks like the awards were even more politically-charged than we thought.
