Vice Founder’s ‘Transphobia’ Article May Cost Him Ad Agency Job

Gavin McInnes, a co-found of Vice and frequent Fox News guest, has been asked to take a leave of absence from the ad agency he created following an article he published on Thought Catalog titled “Transphobia Is Perfectly Natural.”

In the article, McInnes mockingly describes “totally functional, happily married, normal trannies” before writing, “Of course it’s fucking unusual. We’re all transphobic. We aren’t blind.”

A representative for Rooster, the agency for which McInnes serves as chief creative officer, issued a statement to AdWeek about the decision:

“Gavin’s views are his own and do not represent those of the company or its members. We are extremely disappointed with his actions and have asked that he take a leave of absence while we determine the most appropriate course of action.”
