WATCH: Trump Announces Presidential Bid

Reality TV star and celebrity plutocrat Donald Trump is expected to make a public announcement Tuesday morning, perhaps announcing a 2016 presidential run, perhaps not. Trump has hinted at a GOP primary campaign in prior elections only to renege, leading many to believe he flirts with politics only as brand aggrandizement.

Nonetheless, if Trump were to enter the race and maintain his current polling position, he would clear the ten-candidate threshold for the initial GOP debate.

A presidential campaign would also bring renewed scrutiny to Trump’s finances, on which he’s rather touchy.
