WATCH: Local Sportscaster Gets REALLY Emotional During Lengthy On-Air Goodbye

Nick Filipowski — a sportscaster in Buffalo, NY — signed off from local station WKBW Monday after a three year stint with the station (according to the Buffalo News, via Barstool Sports).

And he got really, really emotional.

During his three-minute long on-air goodbye, Filipowski wept throughout.

“If you have a dream, go chase it,” Filipowski said. “Nobody is going to believe in your dream like you believe in it. But it doesn’t mean it’s not worth pursuing.

“I chased my dream. And I ended up here, in Buffalo,” He added, laughing through his tears — the emotion appearing genuine, if a bit over-the-top.

Filipowski sprinkled in pop culture references throughout his farewell, name-dropping Jim Carrey at one point and mentioning several popular songs.

“I hope you had the time of your life,” Filipowski said. “I did. Bye, bye, bye.”

The broadcaster then broke down and was embraced by his colleagues.
