WATCH: Pro-EU Protestors Defy Government, Topple Lenin Statue in Kiev

According to RT, pro-EU protestors in Ukraine have toppled a massive Vladimir Lenin statue in Kiev’s Bessarabskya Square, after a previous attempt to upend the statue was foiled by riot police last week.

Massive protests have been underway in Ukraine for over a week, as thousands have taken to the streets to demand closer cooperation with European Union over the government’s unpopular alliance with Russia. The protests turned violent last weeked, with over forty journalists assaulted by riot police.
