We Can’t Begin to Describe How Awful This GOP Sharknado Campaign Ad Is
At Bloomberg Politics, Dave Weigel called this “The Worst Campaign Ad That Human Beings Actually Paid for This Year,” and we’d have to agree with him.
The ad, run by the Michigan Republican Party against Democratic incumbent Rep. Gary Peters, reeks of desperation and a dwindling budget: Peters has a double-digit lead over his opponent, Republican Terri Lynn Land, and will probably win the election.
It has everything that an out-of-touch GOP focus group thinks is popular among the kids: animation, sharknadoes, people caring that Peters had received donations from a man connected to a loan sharking ring, Hawaiian shirts, burping, etc.
We could describe it, but it would lessen its tacky impact. Watch below:
