Trump Responds to Biden Debate Pledge With Series of Puerile Insults

Former President Donald Trump responded to President Joe Biden’s pledge to debate in typical fashion, leveling a series of puerile insults no serious person can take very seriously.
During a lengthy interview with Howard Stern, Biden allayed the Sirius XM radio star’s fears that Biden wouldn’t debate the presumptive Republican nominee, saying, he would do so. “I don’t know when,” Biden said. “I’m happy to debate him.”
Trump has long hectored his presidential rival on social media, often in the form of schoolyard taunts that psyche up the base and earn derision from critics.
In his latest missive, he responded to Biden’s debate claim: “Everyone knows he doesn’t really mean it, but in case he does, I say, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, ANYPLACE, an old expression used by Fighters,” Trump wrote on social media.
“He’s in New York City today, although probably doesn’t know it, and so am I, stuck in one of the many Court cases that he instigated as ELECTION INTERFERENCE AGAINST A POLITICAL OPPONENT,” Trump continued.
He did not note that Biden was in New York City conducting the work as president while Trump was stuck listening to testimony about hush money he paid to his former extra-marital affairs, which, in any other candidacy, would be deeply embarrassing, if not disqualifying.

Crooked Joe Biden just announced that he’s willing to debate! Everyone knows he doesn’t really mean it, but in case he does, I say, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, ANYPLACE, an old expression used by Fighters. I suggest Monday Evening, Tuesday Evening, or Wednesday Evening at my Rally in Michigan, a State that he is in the process of destroying with his E.V. Mandate. In the alternative, he’s in New York City today, although probably doesn’t know it, and so am I, stuck in one of the many Court cases that he instigated as ELECTION INTERFERENCE AGAINST A POLITICAL OPPONENT – A CONTINUING WITCH HUNT! It’s the only way he thinks he can win. In fact, let’s do the Debate at the Courthouse tonight – on National Television, I’ll wait around!
It does not seem likely that Biden will show up at the Lower Manhattan courthouse to debate Friday night as Trump suggests, nor does it seem plausible that Trump will, in fact, “wait around!”
Trump’s puerile insults and schoolyard taunts are precisely why any candidate would have reservations about entering into a debate with him, someone who who so regularly flouts accepted decorum and the implied social contract of humanity. But here we are.
