Bill Burr Goes Nuclear Over Current State Of Formula One: ‘Such A Stupid F*cking Sport’

Comedian Bill Burr wasn’t pleased with what he witnessed from Formula One racing over the weekend.

“What a waste of a f*cking afternoon watching that bullsh*t,” Burr ranted on the latest episode of his Monday Morning Podcast. Burr said he hasn’t watched Formula One in “like the last year and a half,” and doesn’t care for how the sport has evolved.

“That’s such a f*cking stupid sport, what they’ve done it,” Burr said. “There’s just such a ridiculous f*cking advantage to driving for Mercedes. It’s like I’m not even watching competition, it’s f*cking ridiculous.”

Burr also took exception with preferential treatment Lewis Hamilton receives.

“As everybody sits there kissing Lewis Hamilton’s ass, at the end of the day if that guy drove for Renault he’s in the f*cking middle of the race every week,” Burr said. “Whoever drives for Renault moves f*cking up, is Danny Ricciardo still over there? All the sudden he’d be like one of the best guys ever. It reminded me of like baseball when the Red Sox and Yankees were spending like f*cking 200 million dollars and had a bunch of roided up free agents, it just became stupid after a while.”

Burr continued that the competitive edge of the sport is now nowhere to be found. “Not saying that Lewis Hamilton is not a great driver — I’m not watching competition,” Burr said. “It’s like I’m watching Walmart versus a bunch of f*cking mom and pop f*cking hardware stores.”

Burr claimed that no matter what happens, Hamilton somehow always comes out on top. “Even when he loses he f*cking wins,” Burr said. “All I know is at the end of the day like divorce court, they’re going to side with the woman, and he’s the hot chick of that f*cking sport.”
