Charlamagne Says Dems Have Him Rethinking Whether Trump Is Actually a ‘Fascist’: ‘Maybe It Ain’t That Much of a Threat’

Charlamagne Tha God admitted recent actions by Democrats have him questioning his belief that President-elect Donald Trump is a “fascist.”

On this week’s Brilliant Idiots podcast with Charlamagne and comedian and co-host Andrew Schulz, Charlamagne said he’s been so disappointed in Democrats since the November election that he’s questioning how much of a “threat” Trump actually is.

“I never called Donald Trump a fascist based off anything I heard from Democrats. I said that because of things I heard come out of Donald Trump,” he said. “But guess what? I don’t even know if I believe it anymore, but only because of how they’re acting. I’m like, well goddamn, maybe it ain’t that much of a threat.”

“Exactly, they lied to you,” Schulz said after pumping his co-host up to “talk that shit!”

Charlamagne made clear his views now do not mean he would change his November vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, noting he supported her when she first ran for president in 2020.

“By the way, that don’t change my vote,” he said. “I still would have voted for the vice president.”

The Breakfast Club host called Harris a “friend” he has supported for years.

“Yes, I support the vice president,” he said. “Absolutely.”

Charlamagne has been vocally critical of a number of Democrats as of late, accusing President Joe Biden of “quietly quitting” his post and even knocked former President Barack Obama for being “chummy, chummy” with Trump at late President Jimmy Carter’s funeral.
