Chuck Grassley Admits He Has ‘No Evidence’ in Biden Probe: Can’t Say ‘The President is Guilty of Anything’
Senator Chuck Grassley admitted to CNN’s Manu Raju that he had no evidence that President Joe Biden was “guilty of anything” following Hunter Biden’s defiant press event in which he announced he would ignore the House Oversight Committee’s deposition.
Raju first caught up with Senator Lindsey Graham, who focused his comments on a commitment to “the process” of investigation. Senator Grassley took another approach, however.
Raju cited Hunter Biden’ comments that his father was not financially involved in any way with his business before asking, “Do you accept that?”
Grassley replied, “I’m going to take the same position I’ve taken since I came. That all I can say is there’s some indication of maybe some compromise with China particularly, but I have no evidence of it. I’m going to just follow the facts where they are. And the facts haven’t taken me to that point where I can say that the president is guilty of anything.”
The House Oversight Committee led by James Comer has worked hard ot investigate what they see as clear “influence peddling” on behalf of the Biden family and have started an impeachment inquiry as result.
Grassley’s admitting that he hasn’t seen any evidence of corruption undermines the public’s belief that this entire procedure is little more than a partisan smear.
