Dinesh D’Souza Tells Viewers It’s ‘Time to Move On’ From Epstein: ‘They Have Closed the Case’

Conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza told his viewers it was “time to move on” from investigating documents related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on Monday, arguing it was more important to be a good player in President Donald Trump’s “political team.”
“Is it time to move on from the Jeffrey Epstein case? I want to argue the answer is yes,” said D’Souza on his podcast after Trump repeatedly urged his supporters to forget the Epstein files. “I’m going to talk about the Epstein files and I’m going to make the case that even though there are unanswered questions about Epstein, it is in fact time to move on.”
Despite acknowledging that there was likely more information about Epstein in the government’s hands than people were being led to believe, D’Souza argued, “My case for moving on does not have to do with anything like that. I think that right now it seems pretty clear we’re not gonna get more information out of the government. They have closed the case. Unless Ghislaine Maxwell, who’s in prison, speaks out and she’s free to speak out.”
The conservative commentator then suggested that Republicans would be better off talking about former President Joe Biden’s pardons and whether they had been legitimately signed, instead of seeking the truth about Epstein and his alleged blackmail operation.
“If we’re so obsessed with Epstein that we’re jumping up and down about Epstein and we’re claiming to walk out on MAGA,” said D’Souza. “First of all, Trump’s not up for election again, but who are you gonna vote for, the Democrats?”
He concluded, “Part of being on a political team is maintaining a certain amount of maturity, recognizing you can’t win ’em all, recognizing there are some things that are important to you that are less important to the guy you’ve put in charge who is trying to focus on things right in front of him, and so having a sense of perspective, having a sense of balance, having a sense of maturity, I think, is more important even than getting to the bottom of what really happened with Jeffrey Epstein.”
On Monday, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk also told his viewers he was done talking about Epstein after Trump called him over the weekend.
“Honestly, I’m done talking about Epstein for the time being,” he said. “I’m gonna trust my friends in the administration, I’m gonna trust my friends in the government to do what needs to be done, solve it, ball’s in their hands.”
