Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) promoted another business on X (formerly Twitter) just days after being slapped with a lawsuit for posting a promo for a Texas dental practice.
This time the business was located in her state of South Dakota.
In the video, Noem is shown with two representatives from a business called “Fit My Feet” in front of a table with shoe boxes and running shoes.
“We are at Fit My Feet in Rapid City, and these guys are amazing,” Noem says. “They have totally built me inserts for running, separate ones for my cowboy boots. I’m going to be perfect, I’m going to be like Bionic Woman now, right? So, come see these guys in Rapid City. Actually, what towns are you in?”
One of the men then lists locations in several states.
“Sweet. I’m going to be amazing,” Noem said.

Just days earlier, Noem posted a nearly five-minute long promo video for a cosmetic dentist practice in Texas that she credited with “fixing” her teeth following a biking accident.
I love my new family at Smile Texas! The video says it all, and I am so grateful for their help fixing my smile for me. 😊🙌🏼😊 pic.twitter.com/z2kTmiY8td

Consumer advocacy group Travelers United filed suit against Noem on Wednesday for that advertisement, accusing her of breaking Washington, D.C., consumer protection laws.
The complaint alleges, “Kristi Noem acted here as an influencer. She likely either received free dental care in exchange for this advertisement, discounted dental care in exchange for this advertisement or she was paid and received free dental care for the advertisement…Unfortunately Noem did not mark this as an ‘Ad’ or ‘Advertisement’ when posting so she is participating in an unfair and deceptive practice.”
The suit seeks to have Noem pay statutory and punitive damages, attorneys’ fees, correct her posts to disclose they are ads, and make the proper disclosures on any future promo videos.
Noem has reportedly been short-listed as a possible vice presidential running-mate for presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.
