Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign came out swinging after a tough night at the polls for Republicans across the country, declaring both of her main rivals for the Republican nomination losers in a statement.

“After Republicans suffered big losses in the 2022 midterms, the pattern continues one year later. Whether it’s a purple state like Virginia, a leaning red state like Ohio, or a deep red state like Kentucky, the election results last night were bad for Republicans,” submitted the campaign.

It continued:

We all know that Donald Trump struggles against Joe Biden in 2024, while Nikki Haley easily defeats Biden. In fact, Haley is the only candidate to lead Biden outside of the margin of error in a recent CNN poll. She is +9 against Biden in the New York Times/Siena poll of battleground states, while Trump is +3. It’s the worst-kept secret in politics: Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the entire Democrat Party want to run against Donald Trump, and they are terrified of running against Haley. And what about Ron DeSantis? Well, let’s take a look at the latest New York Times/Siena College polling of key battleground states.

The memo went on to point out that while DeSantis boasts leads over Biden in Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin according to the survey, Haley’s margins in those states are between 4% and 10% greater.

“To beat Biden and save America, the data is conclusive: Trump is a loser. DeSantis is a loser. Haley is a winner,” concluded the statement.

DeSantis won a historic re-election victory in previously purple Florida last year that saw Republicans thrive up and down the ballot in the Sunshine State even as the national party struggled. The triumph seemingly established himself as the only serious challenger to Trump, but the the past few months have seen Haley ascend into the second-tier of candidates alongside DeSantis after she turned in two strong debate performances.

Haley has climbed into second place in two of the first three states slated to hold primary contests next year and is even threatening DeSantis’s hold on the silver in Iowa, where he has invested considerable resources.
