House Republican Calls Out Three Pro-Israel Megadonors Over ‘Deceptively’ Named PAC Aimed at Removing Him From Office

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) took aim on Friday at three of his party’s most influential megadonors, blasting them for funding what he labeled as a disingenuous Super PAC against him.

Punchbowl’s Jake Sherman reported on Thursday, “Here are the funders of the anti-Massie super PAC. Miriam Adelson’s PAC, John Paulson and Paul Singer.” Sherman’s post received a lot of attention on X, with many users noting that all three of the GOP mega donors are Jewish supporters of Israel. Elon Musk even replied to the post with one of his usual refrains: “Interesting.”

Glenn Greenwald also replied, writing, “What a shock. The huge amounts of money being poured into the Super PAC to remove @RepThomasMassie from Congress are all coming from the big GOP donors for whom Israel is a top cause: Miriam Adelson, John Paulson, Paul Singer.”

Massie replied to Greenwald’s post and added, “Three billionaires from New York City and Las Vegas have funded a superPAC deceptively named Kentucky MAGA to run millions of dollars of negative ads against me because I vote against foreign aid for Israel and needless wars in the Middle East.”

“Kentuckians aren’t falling for it,” added the libertarian leaning Massie.

Massie, in recent months, has been on the outs with his own party, splitting with President Donald Trump on his tax and spending bill – the so-called “Big, Beautiful Bill” – and later on the release of the Epstein Files, which Massie is pushing for along with Democrats.

Massie has long been a critic of U.S. aid to Israel and often joins with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) in voting against additional spending packages for Israel – and any other country.

In June, Kentucky MAGA ran its first attack ad against Massie. “President Trump is banning sex changes on minors. Massie voted against it. President Trump is cutting taxes and saving Kentucky families $10,000. Massie, voted against,” says the narrator in the spot, adding:

President Trump is securing our border and deporting criminal aliens. Massie voted against Trump again. And after Trump obliterated Iran’s nuclear weapons program, Massie sided with Democrats and the Ayatollah. Let’s fire Thomas Massie. MAGA Kentucky is responsible for the content of this advertising.

Massie hit back on X at the time, “The BBB now allows funding sex changes for minors! This ad slams me for voting against the BBB, but the Senate just stripped the ‘ban on sex changes for minors’ from the BBB. By the ads’ twisted logic, those who support the Senate’s edits now support sex changes for minors.”
