House Republican Rips Critics After Calling for End to All Military Aid to Israel: ‘I Disagree With Your Version of Christianity’

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) went after critics of his call to “end all U.S. military aid to Israel now” – hitting back on social media with pointed replies to seemingly random accounts on social media.
Massie kicked off the conversation by writing, “Nothing can justify the number of civilian casualties (tens of thousands of women and children) inflicted by Israel in Gaza in the last two years. We should end all U.S. military aid to Israel now.”
Massie, alongside some Democrats and fellow Republicans like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), has regularly voted against pro-Israel legislation in the House. Massie voted against all three of the Israel aid bills following the October 7th attack, as well as a bill to force arms sales to Israel to go forward during the Biden presidency.
A podcast host replied to Massie’s most recent post, “We should absolutely end all aid. Just did a quick search of your page, not a single admonition for Hamas not to attack, not to hide military assets behind civilians, anything.” The Republican congressman replied, noting he voted in 2023 for a resolution “Calling on Hamas to immediately release hostages taken during October 2023 attack on Israel.”
In a more pointed reply, one user wrote to Massie, “You just told us you’re not a Christian without saying it.” Massie hit back, “I disagree with your version of Christianity if it requires endorsing the deaths of women and children on behalf of any country.”

In another reply to a user who has since made their account private, Massie replied, “Sounds like you feel the death of 50,000 women and children is justified, and that more such deaths are necessary? I disagree.”
The Washington Examiner’s David Harsanyi shot back at Massie, writing, “Why are you spreading Hamas propaganda again? Are you a fan or just credulous?” Harsanyi’s reply is notable as it illustrates the kind of vitriol Massie has received from other social media users as well.
