Marjorie Taylor Greene Roasted For Claim She Saw ‘Illegal Aliens’ in Airports: ‘Did She Personally Check Them For Documentation?’
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) got roasted on social media for claiming she saw “illegal aliens” all over the country’s airports during her travels.
She made the statement as the House considered a resolution denouncing Joe Biden’s southern border policies.
“The Biden administration is guilty of the largest human trafficking operation in history. This is human trafficking,” Greene said. “I just traveled in airports across the country just the past few days. You know what I saw in our airports? Migrants, illegal aliens, all over in the airports!”
Greene inexplicably used air quotes when she said the word “migrants.”
Her statement had the X-sphere scratching its collective head to figure out how she could possibly determine who was in the country illegally just by looking at them.
One person wrote, “Did she personally check them for their documentation or were they just brown and she assumed they were illegal?”
Another wrote, “My guess is if they don’t look like her, she assumes they’re illegal.”
One poster outright called Greene a “racist.”
The House Homeland Security committee has begun impeachment proceedings against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who oversees the southwest border.
Greene filed a resolution in November accusing Mayorkas of violating federal law and the Constitution by failing to “maintain operational control of the border” and prevent an “invasion,” CBS News reported. It was the second impeachment resolution filed against Mayorkas, and was shot down. Greene said she didn’t force a vote because she “got guarantees” that the House “will move forward with impeachment.”
Greene was formally censured by Congress last spring for calling Mayorkas a “liar” during a hearing.
