Squad Member Pramila Jayapal Says She ‘Couldn’t Agree More’ With GOP Rep. Chip Roy About His Party
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) posted a meme to social media on Wednesday agreeing with Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) that Republicans have done nothing of significance since taking the House majority.
Earlier in the day, the Texas Republican called out members of his own party on the House floor after GOP Speaker Mike Johnson passed a 17-day continuing resolution via suspension of the House rules.
Roy urged members to name a single accomplishment of the Republican majority that he can show voters in the upcoming election besides claiming they are better than the Democrats.
“I didn’t come here to have the Speaker of the House assume the position and in 17 days pass a continuing resolution off the floor of this House through suspension of the rules,” Roy shouted. “One thing. I want my Republican colleagues to give me one thing. One. That I can go campaign on and say we did.”
He added, “Anybody sitting in the complex want to come down to the floor and explain to me one material, meaningful, significant thing the Republican majority has done.”

Jayapal posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, a quote from Roy from his Wednesday rant noting, “Surprisingly, I couldn’t agree more with my colleague from Texas. This Republican Majority is incompetent, unorganized, and unable to govern.”
