‘They Want Blood’: MAGA Melts Down Over Democratic Senator Calling Trump a ‘Threat’ to Democracy

Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) enraged many on the MAGA right this week as she labeled President Donald Trump an “existential threat to democracy” during a town hall in Benton Harbor.

“The debate now among Democrats is, how do you answer the following question? Is Donald Trump an existential threat to democracy in his second term? Or is Donald Trump’s second term bad, but like his first term, survivable if we just wait it out, right? And I just want you to know, from your senator, as someone who sits in that room on your behalf, I am in camp number one. He is an existential threat to democracy,” Slotkin said during the event.

Her comments were clipped and shared by the RNC’s political account on Tuesday, which added, “Unhinged Democrat Elissa Slotkin calls President Trump an ‘existential threat to democracy.’ This is exactly the type of rhetoric that led to two assassination attempts. Shameful.”

Breitbart News shared the clip and added, “They want blood.” MAGA supporters quickly jumped in and replied with messages like, “By saying this, Slotkin is an existential threat to democracy.”

MAGA influencer Kyle Becker hit back, saying, “We are not a ‘democracy.’ You don’t get to vote our constitutional rights away, geniuses.”
