‘Despicable and unAmerican!’ Trump Flips Out at Abrego Garcia Being Treated as ‘Innocent’ by ‘Lunatic’ Democrats, Media: ‘Dangerous LIE’

President Donald Trump ripped into Kilmar Abrego Garcia and his defenders on Sunday, claiming Democrats and the press “are falsely” portraying the deported man as “a very sweet and innocent person,” calling it a “total, blatant, and dangerous LIE” in a post on his Truth Social platform. He also said that those who lie to the public “have to be held responsible.”

Trump sent out an Easter message early on Sunday, and in the afternoon kicked things off with several ALL-CAPS posts on different topics, including tariffs.

After that half-hour or so starter, Trump shared multiple articles and re-shared posts from others, before ultimately going in on Abrego Garcia, the Maryland resident and El Salvador native who has been at the center of a firestorm and has even had podcast host Joe Rogan questioning the administration’s actions.

“Radical Lunatic Democrats and their Comrades in the Fake News Media are falsely making Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia out to be a very sweet and innocent person, which is a total, blatant, and dangerous LIE,” Trump wrote. “Garcia has been found by two separate Courts to be a member of the violent, killer gang MS-13, was in our Country illegally, and is under a Deportation Order.”

“It is despicable and unAmerican for Liberals and the Mainstream Media to hate our Country so much, and be obsessed with protecting criminals, instead of working to keep our Border, streets, and families safe,” Trump said. “Those lying to the American People on behalf of violent criminals have to be held responsible by the Agencies and the Courts.”

The administration has repeatedly accused Abrego Garcia of being affiliated with violent street gang MS-13, and critics have pressed the administration over the lack of due process of law and for deporting him despite a previous immigration court suspending his removal.
