‘Trump 2028’: Azerbaijan Pres Talking 3rd Term With Trump Goes Viral as Bannon Declares ‘Told Ya’

President Donald Trump showed the president of Azerbaijan a “Trump 2028” hat and got an off-the-cuff “endorsement” in return as the two leaders joked about some of Trump’s souvenirs on Friday at the White House.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan shook hands at the White House on Friday and signed an historic peace agreement to end almost 40 years of conflict and war, both leaders crediting Trump for brokering the deal and hosting the summit that led to it.
“President Trump in six months did a miracle,” Aliyev said.
A video shared online of Trump speaking with Aliyev soon went viral after the major peace deal, with MAGA pundit and former Trump official Steve Bannon highlighting the clip for an “I told you so.”
The clip shows Trump and Aliyev admiring “Make America Great Again” hats, along with others bearing messages such as “Gulf of America” and “Trump Was Right About Everything.” Trump held out one reading “Trump 2028,” joked with Aliyev about it, and also mentioned another on his shelf that said “4 More Years.”
“You know, you’re not allowed to run and… so,” Trump said. “Because everyone — I’m 28 points higher than anybody. Everybody wants me to run, but, including many of the—”
“Including us,” Aliyev said before Trump could even finish the statement.
The idea wasn’t limited to the lighthearted exchange. Earlier in the week, the president was asked about it on CNBC’s Squawk Box and he said he probably would not run again. At one point in that interview he bragged that his vote totals in Texas set a record “that they say won’t be beaten unless I run again.”
CNBC’s Becky Quick interjected, “Are you going to run again?”
“No, probably not,” Trump answered. “Probably not, I’d like to.”
He added again a few seconds later, “I’d like to run. I have the best poll numbers I’ve ever had.”
On the social media network Gettr, Bannon weighed in on the clip of Trump speaking with Aliyev on Friday, writing simply “Trump 2028” and “Told Ya.”
Bannon previously stated with certainty that Trump “is going to run” again in 2028.
