Trump Rips Michael Cohen as He Heads Into Court to Watch Him Testify: ‘He’s a Liar Trying to Get a Better Deal for Himself’

Former President Donald Trump went off on Michael Cohen as he was about to face his former personal attorney as part of his civil business fraud trial.

Cohen is expected to take the stand in Manhattan on Tuesday as the former Trump fixer is positioning himself to be a star witness against his ex-boss. Speaking to reporters as he was about to enter the courtroom, Trump went on the attack.

“Well he’s a proven liar, as you know. He’s a felon who served a lot of time for lying, and we’re gonna just go in and see him,” said Trump. “He’s a liar trying to get a better deal for himself, but its not going to work.”

Cohen had his own remarks before the proceeding, telling reporters ,”This is not about Donald Trump versus Michael Cohen, or Michael Cohen versus Donald Trump. This is about accountability, plain and simple, and we leave it up to Judge Engoron in order to make all of the determinations on that.”
