‘Thirstiest Truth Of All Time!’ Alyssa Farah Griffin Mocks Trump Trying to Win Over Taylor Swift
The women of The View recounted their favorite moments from Super Bowl LVIII on Monday morning, with Alyssa Farah Griffin’s revolving around her old boss, former President Donald Trump.
“Can I mention my one Super Bowl highlight that we didn’t get to? And I hate to interject politics,” Griffin began. “Donald Trump sent out the thirstiest tweet — er, ‘Truth‘ — of all time, basically saying, ‘Taylor Swift should like me and I think Travis Kelce should, too.’ It was the funniest thing!”
“What?!” Sara Haines exclaimed.
“I was losing my mind over it,” Griffin continued. “He knows how powerful they both are as an entity, and it was just the saddest thing I’ve seen.”
Shortly before kickoff, Trump posted to his Truth Social account:
I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will. There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!
Trump was referring to a bill he signed in 2018 that made it easier for music rights holders to be paid by streaming services.
The former president’s post prompted the likes of journalist Kara Swisher to ridicule Trump as “stone cold terrified” of Swift “and her power…Even her boyfriend frightens him.”
In the weeks leading up to the big game, bonkers conspiracy theories abounded that Swift was a “tool” for Democrats to “fix” the Super Bowl in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs to help Joe Biden win in November.
Ana Navarro added, “Well, if we’re going to inject politics, I’m just celebrating that all those people, all those MAGA hats, that are imploding over Taylor Swift, and now have got to eat it with her boyfriend winning a Super Bowl!”
President Biden also made fun of the theories after the Kansas City Chiefs won, tweeting, “Just like we drew it up,” with a photo of Biden’s alter ego, “Dark Brandon.”
