WATCH: Timberwolves Star Anthony Edwards Absolutely Destroys ‘Cheating A** Refs’

Anthony Edwards slams refs after win vs. Thunder

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards was fully prepared to deal with whatever fine came his way for his comments on the referees after Monday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Timberwolves narrowly beat the Thunder 107-101 to remain atop the NBA Western Conference. During the game’s final moments, however, the players complained about the refs not giving them foul calls they felt they deserved.

Edwards didn’t hold back on his assessment of the officiating when the final buzzer sounded. While celebrating the win with his teammates, a camera caught him saying “cheating ass refs.”

Despite the supposed lack of calls, Edwards finished with a team-high 27 points. During his live post-game interview, he was still fired up about it.

“I don’t know,” Edwards said when asked how the team pulled off the win. “I don’t know, and I’m gonna take the fine because the refs did not give us no calls tonight. We had to play through every bump, every grab. I don’t know. I don’t know how we won tonight.”

The league will likely fine Edwards for openly criticizing the refs. Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic was recently fined $25,000 for his fiery rant about the refs.
