‘Siege’: Michael Wolff Releasing Sequel to His Bestselling Trump Book Next Month
Michael Wolff, author of the bestselling book Fire & Fury that detailed the chaos during the first year of President Donald Trump’s administration, will release a sequel to the book early next month.
The book titled Siege: Trump Under Fire covers the second year of the Trump presidency through the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 election.
The book will be released on June 4 according to its Amazon page and publisher Henry Holt tells Axios that “Siege reveals an administration that is perpetually beleaguered by investigations and a president who is increasingly volatile, erratic, and exposed.”
The publisher says Wolff interviewed 150 sources for the new book. Axios reports that Wolff has followed up with many of the key sources he used for the first book.
Wolff had previously finalized a deal for a sequel to his expose last summer. Though the book has been criticized for including speculations and a number of inaccuracies, it went on to sell over four million copies worldwide in all formats – making it one of the best-selling books in 2018.
Trump previously threatened to sue to stop publication of Fire & Fury, which he called a “phony book.”
