Trump Celebrates Alito Refusing to Recuse From Jan. 6th Cases: Showed ‘COURAGE’ And ‘GUTS’

Former President Donald Trump celebrated Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito refusing to rescue himself from the January 6th Capitol riot cases.

On Wednesday, Alito wrote a letter announcing he will not rescue himself from cases involving the Capitol riot after details surfaced that his wife flew flags on the properties connected to supporters of Trump and far-right movements.

Alito placed the blame on the flying of the flags on his wife, Martha-Ann Alito, while also claiming the symbols did not have a political nature. He wrote, “As soon as I saw it, I asked my wife to take it down, but for several days, she refused.”

The Republican nominee took to Truth Social to congratulate Alito for showing “intelligence, courage, and guts” in an all-caps rant to his followers on Wednesday afternoon.

“Congratulations to United States Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito for showing the INTELLIGENCE, COURAGE, and ‘GUTS’ to refuse stepping aside from making a decision on anything January 6th related,” Trump wrote to his followers on the social media platform.

Trump added, “All U.S. Judges, Justices, and Leaders should have such GRIT – Our Country would be far more advanced than its current status as A BADLY FAILING NATION, headed by the Worst President in American History, Crooked Joe Biden!”

Currently, Trump’s legal defense team has appealed to the Supreme Court, claiming the former president can not be prosecuted by Special Counsel Jack Smith in D.C. over crimes allegedly committed while he was in office, citing presidential immunity.
