Bret Baier Ends Kamala Harris Interview as Her Aides Demand Wrap: ‘They’re Giving Me a Hard Wrap Here’

Fox News anchor Bret Baier abruptly cut off his interview with Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday after claiming he had been given “a hard wrap” behind the scenes.

Toward the end of the interview, Baier could be seen looking off-camera, before telling Harris, “Madam Vice President, they’re wrapping me very hard here. I hope you got to say what you wanted to say about Donald Trump.”

“There was more to say. I have much more to say,” replied Harris. “I invite everyone to go to KamalaHarris.com and you will see that I have 80 pages of policies that are quite comprehensive and should be accessible to anyone who would like to read them, and it includes what I intend to do about affordable housing, what I intend to do about small businesses, what I intend to do to strengthen our economy.”

Baier remarked, “And that’s why we invited you here, to see where you were in 2019 and where you are now.”

As Harris continued to speak, Baier interrupted, “Madam Vice President, they’re giving me a hard wrap here.”

“Well, I thank you for the time. It’s good to meet you,” Harris replied as the interview abruptly ended.

Following the interview, Baier blamed Harris’s team for the lack of time.

“We were supposed to start at 5 pm. This was the time they gave us,” he said. “Originally we were going to do 25 or 30 minutes, they came in and said, ‘Well, maybe 20.’ So it was already getting whittled down, and then the vice president showed up about 5:15. We were pushing the envelope to be able to turn it around for the top of six o’clock, so that’s how it started, and I could tell when we started talking that she was going to be tough to redirect without me trying to interrupt.”

He concluded, “I had a lot of other questions.”

Baier and Harris immediately butted heads just seconds into the interview on Wednesday after Baier repeatedly interrupted the vice president’s answers.

“May I please finish? May I finish responding, please?” she pleaded. “You have to let me finish, please.”
