CNN’s John Berman: ‘No One has Lost the State of Arizona More than Donald Trump’

John Berman gleefully mocked former President Donald Trump Friday morning as he opened CNN New Day with breaking news that the “Cyber Ninjas” auditing the Arizona election results certified the previously certified results.

“No one has lost the state of Arizona more than Donald Trump,” Berman noted. “He keeps losing again and again and again. Even worse than he thought.” Berman is accurate in calling Trump a loser, which is likely a more bitter pill for him to swallow since he lost to current President Joe Biden, who he had previously derided as the worst candidate ever.

If you are just now waking from a coma and are confused, first of all, I’m glad you are healing. But the back story of this bizarre story is that Arizona was controversially called for Biden by electoral statisticians who were proven correct.

But Republican officials in the swing state were convinced that there was electoral malfeasance. They hired a group called Cyber Ninjas, who proceeded to examine the results in a cartoonish manner that their name suggests. Roughly six months later, leaked documents revealed that they confirmed that Trump is the loser of Arizona. Again, results which had ALREADY been confirmed.

“For months, the former president has claimed that the sham partisan audit in Arizona’s Maricopa county would reverse the results and somehow declare him the victor,” Berman reported. “A draft report of the so-called air quotes audit by a group calling itself the cyber ninjas found not only did Donald Trump lose, but he lost by even more than he realized. He is an even bigger loser than the first time around.”

The CNN New Day anchor correctly explained that the goal of the electoral examination was not to overturn the results but instead raise doubt and “make people believe something might have been stolen when it was not. ”
