Fox News’ Cavuto Says Trump Should Stop ‘Kicking the Guys on Your Side in the Ass’

Fox News’ Neil Cavuto ended his show today by advising President Trump against picking fights with allies like Mitch McConnell.

A New York Times report this week says the relationship between the President and the Senate Majority Leader has been incredibly strained lately, though McConnell put out a statement today downplaying it.

Cavuto told the President that “Mitch McConnell is on your side” and it’s important to stop attacking people trying to help him, telling Trump, “You’re better than that.”

“You might not like how Washington works, but this is the only Washington you got,” he said. “Who’d have your back if you keep kicking the guys on your side in the ass?”

Cavuto continued:

“Loyalty works both ways, Mr. President. You are the quarterback, appreciate the team. Go ahead and rip their institution, many have, but they’re the only institution you’ve got. And you’re running out of friends. Don’t threaten them, work with them.”
