It was reported earlier that President Donald Trump has decided he is going to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), the program that allows undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as children to stay in the country.

In a segment discussing DACA with undocumented immigrant and journalist Jose Antonio Vargas, MSNBC host Joy Reid pointed out how ironic it was that Trump was looking to push hundreds of thousands of immigrants out of the country.

After Vargas pointed out that the nation’s “moral conscience is at stake” and that people under DACA are “worried and anxious,” Reid ended the interview with an observation about Trump’s own personal experience with immigrants.

“And let’s not forget that the president is married to an immigrant,” the MSNBC host stated, referencing the First Lady. “Which is the ultimate irony.”

Following the report that Trump will be bringing DACA to an end, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Homeland Security adviser Tom Bossert claimed that Trump hadn’t come to a decision yet.
