Married Couple on Motorcycle Crashes Into Car While Trying to Outrun Cops on Live TV

A high speed chase ended in a brutal crash on Friday night, after a married couple on a motorcycle fled police in Springfield, Missouri.

The chase was caught on A&E’s Live PD, which went live to an officer’s vehicle as she and a number of other squad cars pursued the motorcycle couple.

After turning onto a highway, the motorcycle can be seen speeding away from the police — before slamming into the back of a car stopped at an intersection, flipping the bike and sending the couple flying.

Our officer exits her car and runs after the driver of the bike, demanding he put his hands behind his back. After the driver says he thinks his leg is broken — and asks if his wife is okay — the officer calls for medical attention.

Green County Sheriff Jim Arnott said later in the show that the driver was already on probation for fleeing from the police on his motorcycle.

“I hope this is a valuable lesson,” Arnott said. “I’m glad that they’re both going to be okay, but it’s a scary deal.”

The couple were taken to the hospital, and were expected to be released that night.
