Tim Scott’s Fox Interview With Harris Faulkner Ends Abruptly After Skype Caller Interrupts
Senator Tim Scott’s (R-SC) interview with Harris Faulkner abruptly ended on Wednesday morning by the noise of a Skype caller interrupting the televised segment.
The Republican presidential hopeful joined The Faulkner Focus to discuss economic and crime issues affecting Black urban communities. Scott’s candidacy has struggled to gain significant traction nationally in polling as he remains near the bottom of the crowded GOP field.
“You have unions standing in the door house blocking poor kids, end of failing schools, crime devastating the neighborhood’s incarceration rates incredibly high. And they want to point the finger at me when they have full control of the government in the largest cities in this country with the devastation for black people is the highest,” Scott told Faulkner.
He appeared to be calling in for the television interview via Skype because of all a sudden the pair were interrupted by a loud call notification that forced Faulkner to end the segment early. Scott quickly shuffled to silence the incoming call but it was too late.
“Uh oh,” Faulkner notes. “Someone wants you and I’m going to let you go. It’s been a fantastic conversation about a whole lot of things that have to do with black communities, plural and people of color and in poverty. We’ll bring you back.”
