Trevor Noah on Trump’s Deal With Dems: ‘If Paul Ryan Had Balls, That’s Where He Would’ve Kicked Him’
On Wednesday night, Trevor Noah insisted President Trump‘s deal with the Democrats was a “true miracle.”
“The thing you would never expect to happen actually happened,” Noah said. “Donald Trump made a deal.”
After seeing the bipartisan praise from Trump and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, The Daily Show host said that it all felt like a “crazy dream.”
“Trump and the Democrats working together, you have to admit that is super weird,” Noah exclaimed. “That’s like finding out your mom still has sex. Like you’re happy because she’s a person, you just don’t think of her that way.”
He then turned to the “shell shocked” GOP leaders in the wake of the deal.
“If Paul Ryan had balls, that’s where Trump would’ve kicked him,” he quipped.
Noah said that there will be enough Republicans in Congress to pass this deal through so that they can pursue other agenda items like tax reform, dealing with healthcare, and “vacuuming under Mitch McConnnell‘s jowls.”
“It took a hurricane just to get the government to stay open… but they got it done and in a way that’s the good news,” Noah continued. “The bad news is is that it took a hurricane to get them going. The good news is that there are more hurricanes coming. The bad news is that they’re hurricanes!”
He added that at this rate, Americans are going to be “hoping” for natural disasters “just so their government gets sh*t done.”
