Trump Knocks Al Franken at Minnesota Rally for Resigning After Allegations: Folded ‘Like a Wet Rag’

During a rally in Minnesota on Thursday, President Donald Trump ripped former Senator Al Franken for leaving Congress so quickly after sexual misconduct allegations against him surfaced.

Speaking in Franken’s home state, Trump opined: “That guy was, he was wacky. Boy, did he fold up like a wet rag, huh? …Man,  he was gone so fast.”

Then reviving a popular crowd-pleasing rally tricked, he dropped Franken’s name by saying he wouldn’t: “I don’t want to mention Al Franken’s name so I won’t. He was gone so fast.”

“He was gone so fast,” Trump continued on,” it was like oh he did something, oh oh oh, I resign, I quit.”

Then, he slammed Franken’s replacement Tina Smith, who he said no one ever heard of and is “never going to vote for us.”

Instead, he said, Smith will always vote with Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and the “legendary low IQ Maxine Waters.”
