Trump Supporter: ‘You Are Not a Conservative If You Don’t Support Donald Trump’
Kayleigh McEnany, one of the assorted Trump supporters on CNN, declared this morning on Reliable Sources that “you are not a conservative if you don’t support Donald Trump.”
She told fellow conservative panelists Ben Howe and Matt Lewis that the #NeverTrump movement––in which Howe is firmly encamped––is “irresponsible” to the conservative cause.
Howe said that’s completely false because “if the candidate isn’t conservative, then it’s preposterous to claim I must support him.”
She asked why the #NeverTrump people weren’t this worked up about “left-wing extremism in Washington.”
Lewis responded, “Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama cannot destroy the conservative brand. Donald Trump can.”
