‘You Butch-Bodied Bigot!’ Heckler Lays Into Marjorie Taylor Greene During Town Hall

A heckler at a town hall hosted by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) insulted the lawmaker as a “butch-bodied bigot” on Tuesday night.

Speaking in Acworth, Georgia, Greene fielded questions from constituents, but was interrupted multiple times. Early on, a young woman went off on Greene as the congresswoman spoke about immigration. In particular, Greene said that “illegal alien criminals, cartels, and terrorists” are living at the U.S. southern border with Mexico and are “all inside the interior of the United States.”

Immediately after delivering the line, the protestor stood up and said “How about the KKK?”

“All inside the interior of the United States,” Greene repeated, as an officer approached the woman in the audience.

“The protest is outside,” Greene said. “Thank you very much. Protest is outside.”

“You butch-bodied bigot!” the woman yelled as she was being escorted out. Many in the crowd stood and applauded after the woman left the room.

The dig was almost certainly a callback to remarks made by Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) during an especially chaotic hearing of the House Oversight Committee last May. Greene had asked Democratic committee members if they had ever employed the daughter of a judge overseeing one of President Donald Trump’s criminal cases. Crockett responded by challenging the question’s relevance. Greene, in turn, responded by commenting about Crockett’s “fake eyelashes.”

After some back and forth, Crockett managed to insult Greene by reframing it as a point of order.

“Mr. Chair, point of order,” Crockett said. “I’m just curious. To better understand your ruling, if someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleached blonde, bad-built, butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?”
