GB News Host Nigel Farage Faces ‘Legal Action’ From Jeremy Corbyn Over Antisemitism Accusations

Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn initiated legal action against GB News host Nigel Farage, claiming the former Brexit Party leader made a “highly defamatory statement” about him.

The statement in question was reportedly made during a segment on GB News last Wednesday as the host responded to comments made by current Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer. That day Starmer said that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s government was “dancing to the tune” of Farage, who often positions himself to the Conservative Party’s right.

During the segment, however, Farage allegedly accused Corbyn of subscribing to the “madcap conspiracy theory that the Jews run the world.”

On Monday Corbyn, who now sits as an independent MP, announced the move on X: “I have asked my lawyers to take the first steps in commencing legal proceedings against Nigel Farage, following a highly defamatory statement about me.”

“We are a movement for peace — and we cannot stand by and let these disgusting and malicious lies go unchallenged,” he added.

On news of Crobyn’s announcement to sue, Farage replied with a post of a Facebook screenshot that appears to show a comment made five years ago by a user named “Jeremy Corbyn.”
