‘I’m Not Dead!’: Ozzy Osbourne Blasts Death Hoax Rumours

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, iconic frontman of metal band Black Sabbath, ripped up online rumours of his death after stumbling upon a bizarre obituary video that falsely announced his demise.

Speaking on the family’s podcast, The Osbournes Podcast, the 75-year-old rocker relayed his shock after his image was featured on a YouTube video featuring dead celebrities.

“I’m not dead,” he said. “I’m not going any-fucking-where and I’m going to go do some more gigs before I’m finished anyway.”

With characteristic humour, he referenced the classic Monty Python line from the badly injured Black Knight character, who lost all his limbs in battle, jesting: “I’m not really dead… just a little flesh wound.”

Jack, his son, highlighted a silver lining to the situation. He noted that despite the claims about Osbourne’s health, public opinion remained supportive, with many calling out the falsehoods and referencing the podcast to attest to Ozzy’s well-being.

Sharon, the rocker’s wife, commented that the creators of the video were “sick fuckers”.

Osbourne had to cancel several European and UK tour dates in 2023 due to health complications. Despite undergoing three operations and treatments, Osbourne acknowledged his weaker physical condition but reassured fans about his vocal prowess.

The Black Sabbath frontman revealed in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Defiant as ever, though, the Prince of Darkness, as he is known, was firm: “I’m far from being on my last legs.”
