Media Mogul Rupert Murdoch Marries Fifth Wife Biologist Elena Zhukova

Billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch tied the knot for the fifth time, marrying retired molecular biologist Elena Zhukova at his Moraga vineyard in California.

Murdoch-owned tabloid The Sun released photos showing the 93-year-old and his 67-year-old bride exchanging vows on Sunday. Murdoch, who has an estimated net worth of $19.5 billion, stepped down as chair of Fox and News Corp last September, after a seven-decade tenure. His media empire includes titles such as the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, and Sky News Australia.

The pair began dating last April, just four months after Murdoch ended a brief engagement to U.S. conservative radio host Ann Lesley Smith.

Zhukova, a former molecular biologist, has a 42-year-old daughter, Dasha Zhukova, who works as an art collector and philanthropist. She was previously married to former Chelsea Football Club owner and Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.

Murdoch divorced his fourth wife, actress and model Jerry Hall, in 2022, reportedly via an email.
