After Trump Claims Finances Aren’t ‘Complex,’ Spokesman Contradicts Him Only Two Hours Later
Only two hours after President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter to claim that he various business arrangements were not complex, Trump’s communications director Jason Miller came out and said the exact opposite.
Trump attacked the media Thursday morning, accusing them of twisting the truth in order to attack the potential conflicts of interest between his business and his role as president. They were trying to make it “so complex,” he complained, but “actually it isn’t!”

Less than two hours later, journalists pressed Miller on why Trump decided to cancel his press conference on the issue. This time, they were informed the reason was because Trump did believe the issue was “complex.”
