NBC Announces Celebrity Apprentice On Schedule For Next Year With Or Without Trump

This week the television networks are announcing their schedules for the 2011-2012 season and the first headline breaking is that the Celebrity Apprentice will be back. Is the return of NBC‘s hit show a sign that no matter how many times Donald Trump flirts with the possibility of running for President, this is proof that in fact he will not run, and will instead be back in the board room on NBC airwaves?

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, NBC programming chief Robert Greenblatt didn’t officially pull the plug on Trump’s potential campaign, saying “if he decides to run and is unavailable to do the show, we will bring the show back and someone else will be sitting at the head of the board table.” Yet Greenblatt added “we are still hoping to have Donald back” and suggested the franchise is too strong to not have a replacement sit-in for Trump while he pursued the highest office. With just two episodes left in this season, the speculation about Trump’s future will likely end soon. Although given that NBC knows how integral Trump is to the franchise, it seems like renewing the show now definitely could serve as a hint for what Trump will announce.

I don’t really see what the big deal is here.

The current president is on the NBC payroll, off the books of course, to the tune of easily $15 to 20 million per year and I don’t see anybody calling foul over that arrangement.

I think you left wingers are singling out Trump simply because he’s white.

    Run for President, TRUMP!

We need someone BOLD and LOUD telling the truth about Obama!

Well, before his play about with the GOP, he was a reality star, and would remain so.
