Out of the more than 8,000 people nominated for Dr. Oz’s “Unhealthiest American” special by their friends, spouses, and children, we have a winner: this guy named Steve. Insert snarky comment about how Americans are overweight and it’s so much better in Europe here.

From Dr. Oz’s website:

Yes, Steve brings up the scary part of American healthcare; he has problems with all 4 (or all 5) of the major drivers of healthcare use in the United States: tobacco, poor food choices and large portion size, physical inactivity, and stress. These have resulted in the early onset of a number of really risky conditions including sleep apnea, type II diabetes, lipid abnormalities, and lung and vascular (blood vessel) inflammation.

Yikes! Fortunately, Steve will soon be keeping a food diary and eating regular breakfasts, so everything should be OK soon.

We really do need to do something with these repulsive fat folks. Borrow a page from the GOP/Crypto-Nazi playbook. Visualize fence posts and barbed wire. The faint sound of choo-choos in the distance.

A couple of them were “dressed” in white. Resembled a tourniquet on a…marshmallow!

Obama’s Final Push On Health Care To Democratic Caucus On Capitol Hill

    video

President Barack Obama spoke in the conference hall of the Capitol today about the health care reform bill which is coming close to meeting enough votes to pass in the House of Representatives, which earlier today decided not use the "deem and pass" strategy to railroad the bill through Congress. "I know this is a tough vote for some of you," said our president, adding "Don't do it for Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reid, or me. Do It for the American People." Pay attention folks, this speech is definitely one for the history books.
