If these folks celebrated Christmas in it’s TRUE sense….The birth of Christ….they would be more concerned about giving than receiving and be content in what they already have.

Yes, my goodness celebrating the birth of christ on christmas..oh wait christ wasn’t born on christmas.  Now these people showed they don’t even no the spirit of christmas.  I would put that in my little calendar and make sure next year their will be no gift at all.  Then they would have a reason to hate their parents.

Amazing how even this subject was turned into a political issue. The real problem is the media and their coverage of self-absorbed rich people and those trying to keep up with the Joneses who seem to focus on only material things. I mentioned keeping up with the Joneses (I guess Kardashians now) because there are some rich folks whose homes are going into forclosure. We are bombarded with too many reality shows which are not reality for the majority. Since these shows seem to be here to stay, it’s time for parents to bombard their children’s mind with the message (at an early age) that nice, the ”new wave” material things don’t make a person better than the other. Society is deteriorating and the quest for the finer things in life is a big contributor. It seems to be true that “the love of money is the root of all evil.”

Would the (African American) riots over the purchase of the new Air Jordan shoes be considered “keeping up with the Joneses” or liberal Democratic entitlement?  Or both?

I guess I should have referenced people of another color in parenthesis since by your response you took offense with the one I gave. I wasn’t trying to single out a certain color of people with the Kardashian reference. OH MY GOD! the writer was right, this makes me not want to be a part of society anymore. What’s even scarier is that one day our generation will be relying upon this whining generation to run our country.
