Joy Behar To Ann Coulter: ‘People Are P*ssed Off Because Fox Lies A Lot’

As ill-advised as the White House ‘war’ against Fox News might be — last night at a Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me taping at Carnegie Hall Brian Williams said he thought the White House “might want this one back — it is a gift to the media industry. Much the way the 2008 election provided a narrative for the entire industry so is this smaller campaign against (between?) Fox and the Obama administration providing everyone, including the blogosphere(!), with daily fodder, and new shows with a quick way to get in on the conversation.

Case in point. Last night the ever-stimulating Ann Coulter was a guest on Joy Behar’s new HLN show. Behar is of the opinion that Fox News lies and has a litany of examples to back her accusations up. Coulter, who by the way can hold her own and then some with the long-time View host, says Fox News is getting a rough ride:

They treat Fox News like they’re Stalin…there’s more respect for Roman Polanski than there is for Fox News anchors.

Coulter also notes that Glenn Beck talks so much, all the time, that he is bound to make mistakes when it comes to details. Video below.

What examples backed up Joy’s accusations? I think Coulter refuted every one, except the Hannity one about towing a car to the clunkers lots. I wouldn’t really call that earth shattering… or a lie, really. Sounds more like mocking and poking fun at the program, but I didn’t hear the program.

I do enjoy watching these two together.

Behar never relies on facts. Never has never will. That’s why she’s on HLN. Why on Earth would a stand up comic merit a program on “Head Line News”??? What she offers is not news, the channel has been mis-named.

Move over, Balloon Boy. Pull over, Prius Dude. There's a new spectacle to feed the voracious cable news beast, and this one really lets the media in on the act. Donna Simpson, a 600-pound Old Bridge, NJ woman, is all over the news today because she's on a diet... (cue blandly surprised news-anchor-voice) to gain 400 pounds! That's right, Simpson's goal is to hit the half-ton mark, and she funds her $750-a-week meal plan via a website where people pay to watch her eat. Have we graduated from morbid curiosity to accessories to murder?

CNN Apologizes To MTV For Falsely Reporting “Telephone” Ban

On Sunday afternoon CNN reported MTV had banned the new Lady Gaga/Beyonce video "Telephone" - and so many other outlets (like us) reported on the CNN report. But MTV didn't ban the video, and today CNN made the correction.
