Livestream: CUNY’s New Business Models for News (In A Very, Very New World)
Right now Jeff Jarvis and CUNY are hosting their “New Business Models For News” conference which attempts to wrangle with wild, runaway world of new-old media every year, financed by the burgeoning bank of the link economy. It’s a great line-up of speakers (see here) and they’ve put various models online for those at home (see here) and, of course, they are livestreaming it (see below!). (You already missed Jarvis’ presentation but don’t worry, it’s here.) It’s an ambitious schedule for an incredibly ambitious topic, but one we’ve all got to try to figure out — and stay two steps ahead of everyone else in so doing! We live in trying times — thank goodness, at least, that groups like CUNY’s are trying to figure them out. Please do so, CUNY, and then Twitter the results. Thanks!
