MSNBC to Re-air Contentious Donald Trump-Morning Joe Interview at 10 a.m.
A programing note was announced by Morning Joe cohost Mika Brzezinski at the tail end of Tuesday’s show, saying that the network would re-air the show’s interview with GOP frontrunner Donald Trump. The interview, which spanned for over a half hour, came on the heels of Trump’s controversial call to ban all Muslims from entering the United States.
As Mediaite reported this morning, the interview was particular contentious during a filibuster of sorts between Trump and Joe Scarborough. The show’s host cut to commercial immediately when Trump would not relent on a talking point, setting the stage for a roundtable of questions aimed squarely at dismantling the businessman’s stance on Muslim immigration.
MSNBC Live with Jose Diaz-Balart is the regularly scheduled show in the 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. time slot for the network.
