OK Go’s New Music Video For ‘All Is Not Lost’ Is Interactive, Features Lots Of Lycra Unitards
OK Go, the musical equivalent of fresh-baked Funfetti cupcakes, is back with yet another engrossing video. You might remember their now-famous Treadmill Video for “Here it Goes Again,” or their video for “This Too Shall Pass,” — one that likely brought a certain generation back to those halcyon afternoons spent playing Mouse Trap and watching Nickelodeon. Even The Today Show got in on the action for their Today Goes Viral series. For their latest offering, however, the band completely outdoes itself by making their music video interactive.
While brainstorming ideas for their “All Is Not Lost” music video, OK Go decided shimmying around on a glass tabletop in sea foam green leotards might be a good idea (as it always is), but realized they were going to need more people for a greater impact. Fortunately, the nice folks at the Pilobolus dance troupe gave the band a call, pitching a collaboration. And, thus, a crazy — and crazy entertaining — new video was born.
The interactive version is also pretty nifty and definitely worth fiddling around with, probably throughout your entire workday. You’ll need Google Chrome to play it, but the download is worth it. Seriously, give it a whirl.
In the meantime, check out the also-impressive, non-interactive video for the song. Don’t try this at home. Unless you’re willing to put the result on YouTube:
