Rush Limbaugh On ‘Minorities’: Obama ‘Regime’ Will Support ‘A Minority Of The Worst Scum On Earth’

Rush Limbaugh doesn’t seem to support Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, but he’s getting dangerously close to endorsing his UN-sanctioned actions against civilians. Expressing concerns about the possible successors to Gaddafi, Limbaugh noted that much of the opposition to Gaddafi in America is a “leftist position” that “any rebel is an oppressed minority,” even if they are “the worst scum on earth.”

Limbaugh’s chief concern on his program today appeared to be whether America was “playing the role of enabler” for Sharia law in Libya– certainly a point that Gaddafi has raised in his defense– you’ll recall Gaddafi claiming that the rebellion was prompted by a chemical (opiate) attack on his people by Al Qaeda. “Are we doing their dirty work?” he asked, while noting that “they” was an ambiguous concept at the moment– all the more reason to beware. “We can topple the regime in Libya if we want,” he noted, “but what would follow it? If it’s the Muslim Brotherhood, we are advancing Sharia law.” He continued to note that helping a new regime would be “handing over an oil-rich country to a theologically-driven crime syndicate,” as opposed Gaddafi, who is not theologically driven.

After making the point that replacing Gaddafi with “criminals” would somehow make a difference, Limbaugh broadened his scope to criticize the left for supporting the opposition in Libya. “We have a regime which sees any rebel as an oppressed minority,” he noted, possibly meaning the Obama administration, which is a government and not a regime, although he could have been arguing that the reason America upholds a regime of constitutional republicanism is to protect ideological minorities. Limbaugh then made it clear that he really, really doesn’t like “minorities”:

“You could have a minority of the worst scum on earth. You’ve got people who are sympathetic to them because they’re a minority and they think minorities are eating excrement sandwiches all day… there are people who live in this regime– leftists who have that position.”

Well, then. Rush Limbaugh seems to really dislike minorities– which, applying zero-sum, with-us-or-against-us foreign policy principles, puts him on Team Gaddafi.

it doesnt surprise me one bit that limmpy would team of with Gaddafi, he hates Obama so much he’d climb in bed with alkida if he could, him and Beck both are walking a fine line, they cant decide if they are pro america or terrorists that hate america……..nothing is gonna solve this issue, only an indictment , conviction and sentencing for treason will stop em….MR HOLDER DO YA THING……ITS TIME

If I were to use your utterly abysmal comprehension skills, Frances, I would conclude that since you don’t support Limbaugh and Limbaugh doesn’t support Gaddafi, you’re a huge supporter of Gaddafi and therefore, you hate minorities in Libya. See how easy that is.

What Frances wrote was completely ridiculous. There is no way that a clear thinking person would conclude what he did from Rush’s rant. I actually listened to the audio clip, did you? Frances’ synopsis of it was completely off base. Am I not allowed to point that out? What’s worse, me pointing out how wrong Frances is or just making up stuff the way Frances did? It’s not about “despising everyone that writes for Mediaite”, it’s about calling them out on their blatant distortions and overt ideological hackery.

This would not be the first time America aided Al Qaeda in it’s attempt to overthrow a country. The stated mission of Ansar Al Islam, the al-qaeda group operating in the north of Iraq was the removal of Saddam Hussein and installation on Islamic rule. Protected by the U.S. northern no fly zone, Ansar Al Islam was free to migrate into Iran when Iraqi ground troops moved north to attack them, which they did with impunity. Well, we overthrew Saddam for them, Libya might be next.

of course, Frances also thinks that since the duck weighs the same as the block of wood, they should burn the witch. so logic clearly isn’t her strong suit.

Rush’s point, since you seem to have missed it Frances, is this: some people–mostly “liberal elites”–will forgive minorities anything, just because they’re minorities. whether this is due to white guilt or some other dysfunction, I don’t pretend to know, but it’s obviously true. we’re still consumed with making up for the supposed sins of our grandfathers, even tho’ we move further away from those bad old days all the time.

the unfashionable George W. Bush talked about “the soft bigotry of low expectations,” but because Bush said it, it was dismissed as racist. we’re never going to get anywhere unless the Professionally Offended lets it go and allows us to move forward. it’s not Selma in the ’60s anymore.
