This Exists: Prisoner Files Lawsuit Claiming Denial Of Porn Violates His Rights

If he has to serve “hard time,” one prisoner in a Michigan jail is demanding that his Constitutional rights afford him some pleasures that are currently being denied. Since he cannot have access to pornography, 21-year-old Kyle Richards has filed a lawsuit claiming his Constitutional rights are being violated as such a deprivation is “cruel and unusual punishment.”

Well the punishment might not be unusual, but the lawsuit certainly is. In the complaint, he claims he has a “poor standard of living” and “sexual and sensory deprivation” as a result of being shut off from the world of erotic images. The Michigan Department of Corrections has a policy of banning such materials at the jail. Maybe Richards should have thought about his “needs” before he robbed a bank? Or maybe he’s learned his lesson: next time he needs to also steal some magazines from an adult entertainment store before he heads off to jail.

Why, oh why, do we allow prisioners to have anything in prison other than bread and water?

If porn lowers recidivism, I say give it to him. Give it to them all.

You prove every day that you are a classless, clueless, low life.
Then you wonder why we have such a low opinion of the “democrats” who frequent this place. You just showed it.
    Thanks

He needn’t worry, the ACLU (All Criminals Love Us) will go to bat for him.
