People who do death-defying physical activities know there’s a risk, but it’s quite shocking to see what can actually happen when something goes one. One base jumper recording his jump from a cliff ended up getting injured after something went wrong with his equipment, and the video he captured of his horrifying experience was actually uploaded online, and it’s quite something.

Vimeo user Subterminallyill posted a video of a “cliff strike” he took just a few weeks ago, and the high frame rate of the video allowed him to show an incredibly slo-mo version of the video. It shows a 15-second fall to the ground over the course of two intense minutes.

In the video’s description, he explains what happened to him, saying, “Compression Fracture of the T12 Vertebra, 5 stitches to the eye, 6 stitches to the chin, severely sprained Back, wrist and hand. multiple bruised areas.”
