‘You’re Done’: Huckabee Snaps at Woman Who Confronts Him for Supporting the Duggars
'You're Done': Huckabee Snaps at Woman Who Confronts Him...
Mike Huckabee had a rather tense exchange with a woman at a campaign stop who confronted him about his support of the Duggar family and whether he “supported” child abuse.
The Democratic group American Bridge PAC captured video of Huckabee speaking in Clinton, Iowa when the woman asked him about supporting the Duggars. She was upset that he showed sympathy for the Duggar parents when they allowed it to go on.
Huckabee stopped her and very testily told her off for her accusation. He said he knows that the daughters were “maliciously and savagely abused,” and his sympathies lie with the family for going through such a horrible ordeal––not just in private, but in the media when this story broke.
He repeatedly scolded the woman, saying things like “I’ve known them since they were babies and you don’t!” and “Stop talking about them unless you personally know them!”
At one point, he attempted to move on and said, “You’re done.” The woman called Huckabee a hypocrite and said she doesn’t like someone condoning a family that covers up something horrible like that.
